Interpreters and Translators
Contact us for professional language interpreters and translators. We understand the need for quality interpretation in an event. We understand the stakes involved and wouldn’t want a situation where the language interpretation being passed on is wrong and hence causes misunderstandings.
Our interpreters have a minimum of 15 years experience in the industry. They are proven and have handled even the most technical meetings successfully.
We provide interpreters and translators for the following languages:
English, French, Arabic, Portuguese, Somali, Spanish, Chinese and Swahili
We have categorized our interpreters according to their specialty. It is in this regard that we provide the following types of interpretation services:
- Simultaneous interpreting
- Consecutive interpreting
- Whispered/chuchotage
- Escort / travel interpreting
- Briefing the interpreters
A well-briefed interpreter does a better job. We always recommend that the organizers hold a Q&A session for the interpreting team when appropriate, particularly if the meeting subject is highly specialized.
If your organization has a distinctive culture with unusual catchphrases or job titles, a brief introductory talk is always helpful.
Spell out whatever extra security measures you require: encryption, immediate deletion, immediate return of paper documents, etc.
Our interpreters and team of members are bound to professional secrecy. It is the main principle of our Code of Ethics. Texts or presentations supplied to interpreters directly by speakers will not be shared with anybody else without the speaker’s authorization.
Confidentiality extends to whoever shares information with the interpreters for the purpose of the meeting.
We always recommend providing conference documents to the interpreting team in advance. The documents may include:
- Meeting agenda
- Past agendas and past minutes
- Glossaries, vocabulary lists
- Any documents to be discussed at the meeting
- Abstracts of presentations or speeches
- Speaker résumés
- An MC script or timeline
- Relevant links
- Speaker presentations or speeches
Last-minute material may include any of the above plus:
- PowerPoint presentations by speakers
- Speakers’ notes
- Chairing notes
- Names and titles of anyone who will be introduced (especially attending VIPs, chairs and moderators)
- Agenda changes
